Kato äiti, tein parvekelaatikon!

We are going global, kinda sorta, anyway our blog had some views in the USA. So to make all three people who accidentally clicked to see some amazing DIY handicraft I will put a short summary in English at the end of the post. 

Kesä tulee kohisten ja ranskalainen parveke suorastaan huutaa parvekelaatikkoa. Ne kamalat muoviset ja vihreät boksit liiskasin viherpeukalollani heti alkuunsa. Tollasen parvekelaatikon mä teen ite ihan tosta noin vaan.

Edellisessä postauksessa esitellyt huolellisesti kuivatetut laudat olivat oivat tähänkin hommaan. Kävin lisäksi K-raudassa ostamassa ruuveja ja kahvat joista laatikon saa kaiteeseen roikkumaan. 

Alkuvalmisteluja! Ei menny ruuvit ihan ekalla eikä tokalla, mutta kolmannella tai neljännellä tais jo onnistua. 

Pohjasta tuli melkoinen tilkkutäkki. Halusin käyttää kaikki jämäpalat, koska pientä lisähaastetta kaikki käsityöt nimenomaan vielä tarvitsee... Tämä(KIN) onnistui mallikkaasti ja lopulta oli enää kahvojen kiinnytys laatikkoon ja tietysti paras osuus eli ihastelu.

I wanted to make a planter (or a flower box) for my french balcony, which is basically just a door that leads nowhere, or a window that looks like a door, very handy... I tried to use materials I already had at home lying around in big piles  in neat stacks. I did not plan the box beforehand, no one has time for that, doing things twice on the other hand is more my style. I had some minor problems with the screws and only managed to get them right on the fourth go or so. The bottom of the box was also a bit tricky, I wanted to use all the extra wood I had, so it looks a bit like a puzzle gone wrong. In the end it turned out quite nice and I am happy with the results. AND everyone knows that only results matter -  job well done. Look mama, I made a planter!
